This is a range of the sculptures I created at University during my Fine Art degree.
Whilst creating these sculptures I considered the fundamentals of existence which impact on the navigation of our daily lives. States which are bound by physics are explored through sculpture, embracing the material reality of the objects and the limitations of their earthbound finitude. The moment between movement and stillness is explored through the introduction of precariousness, where the properties of materials are stayed true to and allowed to dictate the compositions that arise. Drawing, print and paint evade the gravitational consequences which we are subject to, therefore enabling a search for a state beyond the physical-ness of being.
